Pin project

I took Quarters (some with the Ohio etching on the back) and glued them to ribbon and made pins :)

Visa waiting game

So When I was told I was going to Argentina I was over the moon. I think it was just about the happiest day of my life, and I knew from the beginning that the visa process would be slower, if not the slowest of all of the exchange students going outbound from my district. But now I'm getting to know all of the other exchange students on Facebook and I'm seeing that not all of them are having to go through the visa process like I did. (My visa is currently being looked over by the consulate in Chicago) I'm hoping it gets approved before September. So, since I have been in this awful waiting game, and hoping endlessly that my visa is approved (only about 25% of Argentine student visas are...). I have been crazy preparing for my trip. I just bought a large suitcase and have already filled it with wrapped and labeled gifts for my host families, I also have been making little pins to give to other exchange students, and been taking pictures and organizing every item that will be going with me to Argentina. We're also having our going away party this weekend (the three exchange students from my town including me) and Maura leaves on the 6th, which I can't believe that our year is about to start already. So, while I am left here in the dark a little while longer I will continue to occupy myself with everything Spanish. I'm working on reading novels in Spanish and watching more Spanish TV right now, along with Rosetta Stone. All in all, I can't wait for the adventures to begin, but I just can't handle being in the dark this long because of my vissaaaaa.
