Leaving Soon!

So My visaed passport and ticket are on their way from Seattle. I should have them by noon today, and I am leaving tomorrow! Sunday the 28th at 5:20 I'm flying to Atlanta, then flying to Buenos Aires overnight and finally Buenos Aires to Catamarca on Monday! My host family and counselor will be there to greet me. I am so excited to finally be going! Now Some family members have expressed concerns since I was routed through Atlanta during the whole Hurricane Irene, but I think it won't really have a major effect upon my flight. I am really anxious to make everything work out. I will be one of the last exchange students to arrive in my city. After going through an emotional roller coaster to find out when I would even be leaving the country, now I can't believe I'm actually do it tomorrow!

Things are coming together!

So I HAVE MY VISA! After such a long wait, I can finally say I have a visaed passport. So in light of this new found accomplishment I had been planning to depart the 26th, as I was previously told. And finished the majority of my packing today. But now, it seems like I will be leaving next week possibly... No one knows when I will leave now. I just hope it is soon and will announce to the world when I have itinerary information which I should have before Thursday night hopefully! I am so excited to go, I can not wait! Thanks so much everyone for your support while I've been trying to get this visa!

Finally some good news!

So this month I've been waiting on pins and needles for any kind of news. And I am so happy now to finally have some, all though I know it is not official or tangible, I am happy with what I have for now. I am now waiting for my visa, and it should be done by the end of this week! I have also been told that I am leaving the 26th of August! Which is next Friday so, I essentially have only 8 days left with my family and friends. One of my dearest friends is leaving tomorrow morning to begin her year, it will probably hit me later, but everything is happening very fast and I can't wait to start my year! I'm studying Spanish a lot and also working on my presentation in Spanish. Now that it is crunch time I will probably email my travel agent every day and try to get information as fast as possible regarding my trip. Catamarca here I come! :D
